Artist Biography

Kim Hogue, CDA is a business owner, designer, author, well sought-after instructor, and a creator of all things detailed. She established a home based business, Heavenly Heart Creations, in 1988 as a place to educate decorative painters.

Through dedication and hard work she was awarded a CDA (Certified Decorative Artist) at the Society of Decorative Painters convention. She has been a member of the SDP for 23 years and has attended 18 annual conventions.

As her seminar and teaching sessions quickly grew and filled to capacity, she launched her own line of instructional pattern packets. As a designer, she tirelessly promotes her works of art throughout the calendar year bringing her products into various conventions, shops, chapters, magazines, and classrooms. Designing gives her the freedom to share her creative imagination, thoughts and ideas.

Kim travels extensively, both nationally and internationally, educating her fellow artists (beginners to advanced painters). She believes through education, learning, and passion, everyone is able to open the gateway to their dreams. Kim currently lives in Bellingham, Massachusetts, along with her supporting husband. She is a loving mom to two grown children, and a grandmother to two heartwarming grandchildren.
